A lakefront mansion in Lexington, South Carolina, complete with a ritzy $100,000 chandelier and an indoor basketball court is headed to auction with no reserve next month.
The 7,429-square-foot house, set at the end of a long driveway flanked by 63 palm trees, will go under the hammer on March 21 with Elite Auctions. The sale will be held on site, with remote bidding available.
The home is entered via a grand marble-lined foyer with two sweeping, curved staircases and topped with the polished chandelier, according to the listing with the auction house.
Elsewhere on the ground floor is a custom kitchen, a butler’s pantry, a 16-seat dining room, a bar and a large family room with a fireplace.
Upstairs is the home’s master suite, complete with a recessed ceiling, a fireplace, a bathroom with a rainfall shower, and direct access to the large second-floor deck, the listing said.
Custom built in 2018, the owner, a local businessman, bought the lot in 2017 for $1 million, records with PropertyShark show. He could not be reached for comment.
The home boasts “stunning, panoramic views of Lake Murray,” said Tara McLean, president of Elite Auctions.
The property has 220-feet of water frontage on the sprawling 50,000-acre lake along with a self-leveling dock and lift.
Elsewhere on the home’s almost two-and-a-half acres of grounds is a saltwater infinity pool, an outdoor kitchen and a bar; a basketball court is inside the climate-controlled garage, the listing said.
