Naples Daily News: Marco Island home owned by drummer who played with KISS band members going to auction

A Marco Island home owned by drummer Tony Zarrella, who played with some of the original members of the rock band KISS, is going to auction this month.

The three-story, Zen-like home on Hideaway Beach has been on and off the market since 2013, and Zarrella, 72, said he is ready for the next chapter of his life.

“I’ve had it in realtors’ hands a number of times and nothing ever came of it; only a few showings and that was it,” Zarrella said. “I thought maybe I was doing something wrong.”

Now he has put the fate of his three-bedroom, three-bathroom home at 795 Waterside Drive in the hands of Elite Auctions.

Since Elite Auctions stepped in, Zarrella said more than 150 people walked through one of the showings the 4,610-square-foot home in the past month.

Elite Auctions, a Naples-based company licensed in 38 states, sold two former PGA golfers’ homes in North Naples last year and recently sold Greystone Manor on Marco that was once owned by New York Yankees legend Robert Turley.
