Robb Report: Maryland

Colonial style comes to life in this grandiose estate built in 1908. The home itself revels in American traditions as renowned architect Douglas H. Thomas (whose firm created Baltimore’s Belvedere Hotel and the Maryland Club) designed the 11,000-square-foot showpiece. Additionally, some rooms were custom painted by Warnock Studios, which did work at the White House. Brief highlights inside the home include eight bedrooms, six-and-a-half bathrooms, and seven fireplaces. Of special note is the sweeping grand staircase as you enter the home, offering a first look at the historical significance of the property along with its recent renovations. The 2005 film Syriana was also filmed on its 26 acres. The estate at 1800 Holly Beach Farm Road will be offered at auction on June 30 through Elite Auctions.
